So on to plan B. 2 years ago my dad and I took a photography class at Schoolcraft Community College. It was a very cool class and in the few short weeks that we were able to go, I learned a ton of stuff. One of the cool tricks we learned was how to draw pictures on film using a long exposure and a light source. So Jack and I headed downstairs to the basement and gave it a try. This one is the coolest one - we call it the light tornado. Jack did an awesome job make the squiggles and things. I tried a few times to spell out his name - but unfortunately it just sort of turned into a bunch of scribble. We'll keep trying I'm sure, because Jack was fascinated by this and kept on wanting to try out new shapes and words.
So that about covers day 16. Sorry - not much to say today. Oh still not doing the sugar thing and think I might be slowly coming out of my gloomy demeanor due to sugar deprivation. I leave tomorrow for a long weekend in San Francisco that is capped off by attending Brian & Mary's wedding shower on Sunday. Getting a chance to hang out with some cousins and some friends during the early part of the trip and then meeting up with the bride and groom-to-be and my folks on Saturday. I completely expect for me to relapse with the sugar over the weekend - sweet jesus isn't Ghiradelli made in San Fran? I'll be a goner! And a 4+ hour flight? That usually involves some candy of some sort! But I have every intention of at least trying to wield some self control...But seriously, who are we kidding. I secretly think that is part of the reason that I am so syked to go. In the past when people would say that they overindulged on their vacation I would sort of not get it - probably because I was overindulging every single day!!! So hopefully this trip I will at least by able to come home and say - wow great trip - man did I overeat - and then start over on the no sugar thing...we'll see. Next few posts coming at ya from San Francisco!! Stay tuned! =)
